1953 Nickel

An older nickel with a nice antique look. This coin is not that old and the nickel tends to hold up well. The deep press allows the design details to fill up with dirt and get a nice antique feel.

Jefferson nickels had a great profile picture, the newer ones look like a bad selfie. Of course the buffalo nickels are real classics but that is another story.

Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 5 Cents / United States of America
Year: 1953
Mintage: 46,644,000
Metal: 75% copper 25% nickel
Value: $0.10 in Almost Uncirculated (AU-50) this one is less
